Christian Songs Online

Do beautiful Christian hymns ever float around in your mind, driving you to hum rhythms and melodies that are mere memories of church days as a child?  If you are like me, I don’t always quite remember the lyrics to these beautiful Christian sounds, but the good feelings stick with me.

When to Help a Friend in Need

We’ve all known them.  We’ve all seen their pain, anguish, and perhaps anger.  Sometimes, though, it’s difficult to know when to help a friend in need.  Watching for the warning signs is key.  If you have a friend or family member who has experienced deep pain in their lives, it’s very likely that they could use your love, prayer and support.  They won’t often admit it, and they’re even less likely to ask for it, though.

Asking for prayer can be hard and sometimes embarrassing.  That’s why you need to watch for when someone is truly desperate for help.  People in need of prayer isolate themselves, deviate from their normal behavior, and lack a sense of positivity.  They may feel extremely sad and what they really need is love, companionship, and support.

One of the main reasons that we made the Christian Prayer Center is that we believe in organizing people on the internet with the goal of helping people in their lives.  Prayer support, even from thousands of strangers can go a very long way.  Knowing that you are on a strong prayer chain, that people care about you, that people can read about your problems – this is something that makes people feel better.  God hears our prayers when our prayer requests are heard by many of his Christian warriors.

This isn’t a complicated message, but it’s an important one.  If you notice one of your loved ones in pain – pray for them.  Post a prayer request for them, show them comfort and support.  Let them know that you care and that they are not alone.  Sometimes these are the most important things someone can receive during a time of grief or pain.   God Bless.

The Strength of Online Prayer Requests

Online prayer groups, such as the Christian Prayer Center, provide a very valuable resource to those seeking support.  Through online posting of prayer requests and archiving of prayer requests for thousands of Christians to see, people can drastically increase the power that their prayers have.  Under normal circumstances, a prayer would be said by oneself, or perhaps with a slightly larger audience, such as a dinner table.  It would be rare that more than several people would pray for someone in this case.  Using a church prayer list might fetch dozens of people, which ishumancross certainly better than just one.

It is when we are able to collect the powerful prayers from thousands of Christians from all over the world that our prayers gain true strength. In addition to all the caring and praying eyes that our prayers receive, we feel better since we can get support from others who are there to help. We can read about others in need and find comfort through commiserating with their circumstances. As Christians, we are taught to give as well as receive.

Amen, and God Bless all those Christians that stand in support for this new technology that God has blessed us with. As with all technologies, they aren’t often well received by everyone, but we feel that online prayer requests are the future and we’re happy to stand in their defense.

Merry Christmas from the Christian Prayer Center

The Christian Prayer Center wishes everyone out there a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, 2013.  2012 was a tough year for many, capped off by the terrible incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  As that event was unfolding, all of us were praying deeply for the families and for the entire town that will be grieving for many, many years to come. We praise that strong town for coming together, from various faiths, to support eachother in their unthinkable suffering.

For the coming year, we ask that everyone try to be a better neighbor, friend, uncle, father, sister, etc.  There are lots of guesses why people are shooting themselves randomly all too often now, but if this world could use one more thing from all of us – it’s love.  Show extra care and love, especially to those who you know aren’t receiving it.  As Jesus would have done, return hatred with kindness, greed with generosity.  Show the lonely some company, be generous with the selfish.  Remember to read your bible, say grace with at dinner time, and pray day and night.

Amen, and God Bless.  Have a wonderful Christmas Day and remember that our Lord and Savior, was born on this day.

Prayers for Hurricane Sandy Victim

It is often in times of most tragic despair that people unite.  This week, the tragedy that has brought Christians together is Hurricane Sandy, otherwise known as Superstorm Sandy.  Unlike most powerful wind storms, Hurricane Sandy hit densely populated areas of the Northeastern portion of the United States that are not properly prepared for such a disaster.  As a result, millions have lost electricity, thousands have lost homes, and dozens have lost their lives.  As Christians and members of the Christian Prayer Center, it is our duty and our privilege to offer these victims our deepest and most sincere prayers at this time.  We pray for healing and send them prayers for financial recovery as they suffer through this untimely natural disaster.

In times like this, we must remember the enormous power that God yields over us, and take to heart the lessons that such an event teaches us:

”The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”  Psalm 111:10

Although the Lord has the power to make such terrible events occur, he also has the mercy and the strength to guide us in our healing.  Remember to show caring support to your neighbors at this time.  Pray for them and pray for their families.  Request prayer from your congregation and bring your local church into the fold.  Be blessed.

Prayers for Healing

Do you need a prayer for healing?  When all is lost, it is often prayer that can be most effective.  God can provide healing of many forms – financial, physical, emotional, and relationship healing.  Prayer can mend the tears that come with time and circumstance, and bring us closer to the Lord.  When we believe with all our hearts in the power of worship and the words of the Bible, the Lord blesses us.

“My children, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22

Kneeling before God shows the ultimate trust in his abilities, and pleads for His mercy.  If you suffer in silence or let your neighbor suffer in silence, God will not know if you need help.  prayer for healingWhen He is summoned, he is there to help and to heal your wounds.  Emotional scarring, financial indebtedness, relationships that seem beyond repair.  This is God’s arena!  No challenge is too large for Him.

In the story of Job in the bible, the Lord shows us the ultimate suffering in man.  He shows us that the world can bring terrible atrocities to one’s life.  He also shows us that with faith and prayers for healing, we can get better.  We can form new lives, we can recover from our injuries, we can cast off bad relationships and replace them with good ones.  Ask for the strength to believe and rely on worship.  Give it a try, you’ll be pleased at how well it works.

The Meaning of Easter

Easter time is here!  Yes, this lovely time of the year when pollen counts are high, the sun is finally showing through the clouds, and tulips that we planted last winter are finally emerging from the ground.  What is it about Easter that is so special?

If you drive around your town, you will probably see that churches have big banners outside.  Perhaps the bigger churches might even have events planned, such as easter egg hunts for children, or even bouncy houses.  Easter brunches are served after service, and much fanfare abounds.  During these exciting times, it is important to remember what exactly we are celebrating.  Easter bunny!

Jesus is Risen!  Resurrection!  You may have heard this yelled out loud at Easter services, but not really understood the significance.  (Kids especially need this lesson.)  One of the many miracles of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, is that after he was crucified, he came back from the dead.  Yes, the miracles of resurrection occurred, and Easter was the day it fell upon.  (Not in the Year 0000, though, that’s when he was born.)

Jesus Christ proved that he was indeed the son of God, and he did die for our sins.  He rose from the dead, and that is why we celebrate this wonderful yellow and pink holiday we all know as Easter.  (There were no bunnies that laid eggs in Easter time, but it’s nice to have some special magic for the kids.)  Take this time to say a special prayer for Jesus, post prayer requests, be kind to your neighbors, read the Bible, and overall, be grateful that He died for our sins.

Christian Prayer Center Praise Reports

At the Christian Prayer Center, receiving praise reports from our members gives us great pleasure.  The following praise reports came in from real members, after having had their prayers answered.

Yes my prayer indeed has been answered. In 1990 I had heart failure and at the time I was 120 pounds. Well any way, after the heart failure my weight kept blowing up. I went from 120 to almost 308. I been to many doctors and dietitians. I worked out like crazy and although I lost over 100 pounds it stopped there. The dietitians I was seeing had me to keep a food journal so I was honest when I wrote down everything I was eating and drinking and when the dietitian and doctors saw this they said I was eating right so they didn’t have any idea why I was steadily swelling up. They did a thyroid test and every blood test out there and found no problems. In the mean time I stopped drinking pops and eating fast food and sweets and chips and I was working out 7 days a week, I would burn between 600-900 calories a day and instead of the weight going down it was going up. So after almost 2 years of me eating right and working out I was about to give up and just stop every diet I tried..

Eventually, I tried posting a prayer request at your website, and this is what finally worked.  I found the discipline to lose weight, and God did the rest.  Bless you for all your help.”

I thank God everyday that I found your website and your prayers have been incredible! I’m blessed in so many ways and I cannot thank God or your website enough! My life has taken an amazing turn for the better and I know its Gods touch! I will always need prayer and hope that you guys continue to bless me with prayer I will pray for you and your website as well! thanks so much.”

“Yes, when I got in from work this evening, I received a letter from IRS “Certificate of Release of Federal Tax Lien” The letter stated that over 10,000 dollars of back taxes has been satisfied.  Thank you for all your prayers and I look forward to successfully sharing the job I will be landing next Tuesday.

Thank you and God Bless!  Have a blessed day!  Peace be with you!”

If you have a praise report you would like to share, we’d love to hear about it.  It’s these miracles that keep us working hard and believing in God’s incredible power!

Prayer Requests – List Your Needs in Front of Christians

In the same way that a daily journal or diary is helpful, making regular prayer requests can be a very healing activity.  For those that suffer in silence without hope, there is nothing better than gaining the support and prayers from a large Christian community by way of a posted prayer petition.

A prayer request usually starts with a simple description of your situation, which may include a brief summary of your faith.  How long have you been a Christian?  Do you believe in God to answer your prayers?  Have you been touched in the past my miracles?  After you have told the community a bit about yourself, you can lead into your current needs.

Most prayer requests outline needs for financial assistance, physical healing, or the reparation of important relationships in your life.  Although most prayer requests fall into this category, you are free to ask for whatever you desire.  If you are looking merely to solidify your faith, that is a wonderful use of this written outlet.  Once your posting has been made, it is posted publicly in front of our community for a period of time, allowing it to be seen and read by thousands of like-minded Christians.  At this point, you are likely to receive comments from the community.  These people are trying to help you, so please don’t feel judged.  Everyone at the Christian Prayer Center is here to help you.

Although posting a prayer request doesn’t mean that God will immediately answer your prayers, this is a very important process that any Christian should go through.  The internet has brought Christians together in faith, and for that we can be eternally grateful.  God Bless.

Great Christian Resources

One of the most glorious aspects of Christianity is that we are all part of one whole.  We all worship the same God, we try to live our lives by the same principles and levels of integrity, and when we are in need, we are taught to help each other.  As a Christian, you should never struggle in solitude, loneliness, or frustration that there is no one there to help or listen to you.

“Let us consider how to stimulate one another and to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25

As a result of these great Biblical decrees, Christians can find themselves in the company of those who are willing and able to comfort, educate, and assist them in various ways.

Even as a pastor of a church, one who is in charge of leading his congregation, there are services that can help him.  One such service that many churches are in current need of is that of web development.  If you are a minister of a church, or you are in touch with a leader of your congregation, you can suggest Sharefaith, which is an excellent resource for church website development.Jesus Healing

If you are a member of a congregation, or you are not currently attending church services, there are many resources for you to continue your Christian education and understanding of Christ.  If you have some extra time, I also suggest you peruse the praise and worship website, which you should find helpful and comforting.

In your days as a Christian follower, remember that you are part of a community of millions.  These are people who are your brothers and your sisters, and those who are here to aide and guide you, just as they expect the same.  God Bless.
