“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”

To be successful with prayer, we must also make sure that we are pure of heart. We must be good people, forgiving people, and have hearts that contain love and compassion for all of God’s creatures. If God sees that our heart is full of bitterness and resentment, He will often look past us. In our mission of successful prayer, it is exceedingly important that the heart be rid of all ill will and be replaced with understanding, compassion, and forgiveness for not only our friends but also our enemies.
