I have a friend, her name is Desiree. She is a single mother that is currently battling a disease in her knee. This is her words as she described her condition to me via email: "its ok, nothing i can do to change it....there's still a lot of things up in the air, n additional testing to do. the only thing we do know for sure is the "problem". i have two large parts/areas on the bottom of my knee bone that hasn't been getting ANY blood, and started to die. unfortunetly this type of thing is rare, but on top of it - the issues i have are not "normal" to this disease....so it makes it extremely rare. right now, one thing is for sure...i cant put any weight on it, cuz my knee can collapse at any point. (im extremely lucky it hasn't) if this does happen they can do a total knee replacement, but even with that, it will only fix half the damage that will be done. just taking it day to day, n reminding myself how blessed i really am :)"
